We have many international students at my school.
\nSome of the students come from England.
\nThey speak English, but they have an accent that is different from a Canadian accent.

\nWe have students from Germany, Italy, China, Korea and Iran.
\nWe try to make those students feel<\/a> welcome here.
\nThe students like to see what is here.<\/p>\n

They go sightseeing<\/strong>.
\nThey visit all the places that the tourists like to go to.
\nNiagara Falls and Toronto are interesting places to visit.
\nThe students practice their English by talking to Canadians.<\/p>\n

When they first get here, we show them around.
\nThey do many exercises to learn the language.
\nThey listen to English songs.<\/p>\n

They read story books that are written in English.
\nThey listen to English language tapes.
\nThe best way to learn the language is to talk to other people.
\nIt is good to ask questions in English.<\/p>\n

Canadians try to be helpful to international students.
\nSome of the international students live with host families<\/strong>.
\nThe host families have the students living in their homes.
\nIt is a good way<\/a> for the host families and the students to make friends.<\/p>\n

Many of the international students stay in contact with their friends and host families even after they have gone back to their homelands.
\nThe international students learn a lot from their host families because they eat Canadian food<\/a>s, and they learn what it is like to live in a Canadian household<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
