Characteristics include the method of transferring heat to the food, the temperatures normally used, and the cookware normally used.<\/p>\n<p class=\"qtext_para\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/media.salamzaban.com\/sites\/6\/files\/2017\/03\/Roasting.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-19755 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/salamzaban.com\/learning\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Roasting-1024x640-1.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"640\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"qtext_para\" dir=\"ltr\"><b>Roasting<\/b> is the cooking of meats and vegetables using air heated by the oven and heat radiated from the inner surfaces of the oven. Ovens may use heating from above and below the food. Roasting temperatures may range from 120\u00b0F to 500\u00b0F (49\u00b0C to 260\u00b0C). Foods need only to be supported by cookware, which would also catch and contain drippings and rendering. A trivet or grill is often used to lift food slightly and allow air to circulate underneath.<\/p>\n<p class=\"qtext_para\" dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/media.salamzaban.com\/sites\/6\/files\/2017\/03\/Broiling.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-19756\" src=\"https:\/\/salamzaban.com\/learning\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Broiling-300x200-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"qtext_para\" dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><b>Broiling<\/b> is cooking using direct, high heat from the oven\u2019s heat source, directly above the food. The oven\u2019s maximum temperature is used to cook as rapidly as possible. Cookware will allow food to be placed very close to the heat source.
