Knowing something after the fact
I should have known.
I should have known better.
If I (only) knew then what I know now…
If I (just) knew then what I know now…
 If only I could turn back the hands of time.
If I could only turn back the clock.
It’s easy to be wise after the event.
That’s easy to say in hindsight.
Hindsight is 20/20.
20/20 = good vision in each eye at  twenty feet =hindsight
Also:
If I’d known then what I know now…
